OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ Senator Tom Coburn wants to know why the Federal Emergency Management Agency denied individual assistance to Oklahomans after winter ice storms.

Coburn has written a letter to FEMA Director David Paulison asking what criteria was used to deny this aid.

He says in the letter the agency must be transparent in its actions and explain why individual aid was denied.
