TULSA, Okla. (AP) Former Oklahoma football player JD Quinn says he believes it was unfair to kick him off the team.
Quinn and former quarterback Rhett Bomar were permanently dismissed from the Sooners last August for taking money for hours they didn't work at a Norman, Oklahoma, auto dealership.
Quinn, who lives in Garland, Texas, says he doesn't understand because all he did was take cash. He says he broke no laws and there are other players who are breaking laws and failing drug tests but not being kicked off the team.
Quinn declined to provide details about the other players but says it's not necessarily Sooner players and is based on things he's heard.
Bomar declined comment through a spokesman at Sam Houston State in Huntsville, Texas, where he's now enrolled.
OU coach Bob Stoops also declined comment.
