Oklahoma State Begins Big 12 Play At Kansas

LAWRENCE, Kan. (AP) _ Oklahoma State's baseball team will open the Big 12 Conference portion of its schedule Friday when the Cowboys begin a three-game series at Kansas.

OSU is 17-5 and was picked in the preseason to finish second in the Big 12 race. The Cowboys, ranked 14th by Baseball America, are hitting a league-best .348 and also lead the league in runs and hits per game.

Kansas is 14-12 and opened Big 12 play last week, losing two of three games at Texas A&M. The Jayhawks are 1-6 this season against ranked foes but are 6-2 at home.
