EDMOND, Okla. (AP) A baseball player for the University of Central Oklahoma ties an NCAA Division II record during a win over USAO of Chickasha.

UCO designated hitter Bryce Columbus tied the record for hits in an inning with 3-hits -- all singles -- during the 1st inning of the Bronchos' 22-11 win Wednesday.

Columbus, a senior from Shawnee, is the ninth player in Division II history to accomplish the feat and the first to do so since March 6th, 1999.
