Stabbing Victims Dies In Hospital

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) Oklahoma City police say a man stabbed earlier this month during an altercation at a nightclub has died.

Twenty-four-year-old Juan Morales-Diaz has been hospitalized since March 5th following the stabbing at the Rio Bravo nightclub in south Oklahoma City. Police say Morales-Diaz died Friday from his injuries.

The day of the stabbing, police arrested 27-year-old Hector Rodriguez on a complaint of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill. Police now say they will recommend upgrading those charges to first-degree murder.

According to police Morales-Diaz was inside the club with a female companion when they were approached by another couple and a fight broke out. During the fight, Morales-Diaz was stabbed.

Police say the homicide is Oklahoma City's 14th of 2007.
