LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) _ Acie Law led Texas A&M with 20 points to a win over Pennsylvania in Lexington, Kentucky, in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament today.
The third-seeded Aggies got two key dunks from Joseph Jones and a game-clinching three-pointer from Dominique Kirk to defeat eleventh-seeded Pennsylvania 68-52.
Mark Zoller had 19 points to lead the Quakers, and Ibrahim Jaaber added 16.
The Ivy League champions gave the Aggies a scare, for much of the second half. Although Texas A&M had a 32-18 lead at halftime, Penn's shooters came out of the break on fire.
The Quakers opened the half with a 21-6 run.
Texas A&M advanced to play Louisville on Saturday at Rupp Arena.
