You can help yourself and others thanks to the Salvation Army and Stein Mart. Their "Trade Up, Trade In" project began Thursday.

The project lets you drop off any gently used clothes to either the Stein Mart at 51st and Harvard or the one at 91st and Memorial. In return you get money off the purchase of new items at Stein Mart. “You get a donation slip for your donation and up to four 20 percent off coupons for Stein Mart. Which is a win for Salvation Army, a win for you cleaning your closet, bringing your old things and getting new things with us," says Susan Ruley with Stein Mart.

The clothes you donate will be sold to support the Salvation Army's Adult Rehabilitation Center.

You can donate through Sunday.
