The Oklahoma Highway Patrol is still investigating a deadly auto-pedestrian accident that occurred in Tulsa late Wednesday evening. Troopers say 29-year-old Norma Peach was trying to cross the interstate at where I-44 and I-244 splits in east Tulsa.
OHP troopers say an eastbound motorist didn't see the woman crossing the highway and hit her while he was traveling at about 60 miles per hour. The impact threw Peach several hundred feet down the interstate.
The unidentified motorist told troopers everything happened so fast and he didn't have time to react. Troopers say the driver will likely not face any charges in connection with the accident.
