The nation's leading political network is getting young Oklahomans on the road to voter responsibility. The CSPAN Campaign 2008 "Road to the White House" tour stopped at Jenks High School today. The bus is a 45-foot rolling production studio. Representatives say it's a tool that teaches first-time voters the importance of selecting their country's next leader.
"A good citizen is an informed citizen and a good vote is an informed vote. So we really try to get students to learn how to inform their vote as much as possible," said CSPAN Representative Rebecca Stewart.
Students who hopped onboard enjoyed a complete tour of the bus' high-tech control room. They also watched coverage of Campaign 2008.
