OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- Governor Brad Henry and Congressman Dan Boren are giving some campaign money their campaigns received from people who made contributions with funds provided by other people.
The moves come after federal court documents showed the FBI is investigating former state Senator Gene Stipe for using "straw donors" to contribute to Boren and Henry's campaigns.
The alleged illegal donations were made while Stipe was under house arrest for illegally funneling money to a 1998 congressional campaign.
Boren says he's giving $35,600 in campaign funds to the Disabled American Veterans Charitable Service Trust.
Henry says he's giving a total of $35,000 to the USS Oklahoma Memorial at Pearl Harbor and to the Oklahoma National Guard Relief Fund.
Both Boren and Henry say they had no knowledge of anyone repaying donors to their respective campaigns.
