Two people got a wild ride overnight and then crash their vehicle in Sand Springs.

Sand Springs Police say the driver was speeding westbound on U.S. highway 412 early Wednesday morning when he suddenly went across the median and into a railing near the intersection of state Highway 97. The car landed on its side.

The driver and a passenger in the vehicle were hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries.

Police believe alcohol played a role in the accident.
