ADA, Okla. (AP) A former Coal County jail administrator who pleaded no contest to having sex with a prisoner trustee has received a five-year suspended sentence.
The sentence, which Coal County Undersheriff Ray Pebworth said was handed down Feb. 22, means that Tammy Lynn Holt, 35, won't have to serve jail time unless she violates the terms of the sentence.
Holt is required to register as a sex offender under terms of a plea agreement she reached with prosecutors.
Authorities have said that Coal County Sheriff Roy Deck discovered Holt having sex with the trustee in the law library at the county courthouse last Aug. 16.
An affidavit filed in Coal County District Court notes that Holt acknowledged during an interview with an Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation special agent that she had sex with the trustee in the law library.
After charges were filed in October, Holt pleaded not guilty, but agreed to change her plea to no contest in order to receive the suspended sentence.
