UNDATED (AP) The cleanup has begun in in Alabama, Georgia and Missouri, where tornadoes killed 20 people this week.
In Enterprise, Alabama, where eight students died when a twister crashed through their high school, friends are trying to console families who lost a child.
Church groups and other volunteer agencies have swarmed into town to help clear debris and offer hope amid the devastation. And neighbors with chain saws are cutting up fallen trees for friends.
In Georgia, people are working to clean up the mess from storms that tore through the southwestern part of the state. In Americus, two people were killed and dozens of homes and businesses were destroyed. A tornado smashed into Sumter Regional Hospital.
And residents in rural Baker County are salvaging what valuables they can from more than a dozen homes that were destroyed.
