TULSA, Okla. (AP) _ The Tulsa Golden Hurricane take on Alabama-Birmingham Friday night in the Conference USA women's basketball tournament in Tulsa.

Tenth-seeded TU advance with a 73-64 upset win over 7th-seeded Southern Mississippi.

UAB is seeded 2nd and had a first round bye.

Tip-off is at 6 Friday night at the Reynolds Center in Tulsa.

Other games on Friday are top-seeded Tulsa playing Houston; Rice takes on UTEP; and East Carolina plays SMU.
