Tulsa County District Court jurors begin deliberations Friday in Jason Nicholson’s manslaughter trial. The jury will have to decide who is lying after the defendant and a witness pointed the finger at each other on Thursday.
Nicholson says it was former co-defendant Clay Spicer who argued with, then punched Scott Bolton in a downtown Tulsa parking garage in 2004. Bolton hit his head on the pavement and later died.
Spicer made a deal with Tulsa County prosecutors in exchange for his testimony that it was Nicholson who delivered that fatal punch. Spicer's attorney said his client had to come forward after Nicholson named him as the attacker.
If convicted, Nicholson could get four years to life in prison.
