OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ Basketball fans from Howe and Okarche will be doing double duty this week during the small-school state basketball tournaments.

The Oklahoma Secondary School Activities Association announced the brackets yesterday for the Class A and Class B state tournaments that will be played in the Oklahoma City metro area starting Thursday.

Both boys and girls teams from Howe and Okarche are in their respective eight-team fields.

The first round of the Class A girls tournament will pit Fort Cobb-Broxton against Sentinel, Keota against Cashion, Howe against Seiling and Okarche against Garber.

In Class A boys, Okarche will play Howe, Okeene will play Cyril, Pioneer will play Frontier and Beaver will play Achille.

In Class B girls, Chattanooga will play Shattuck, Pittsburg will play Lomega, Cimarron will play Dover and Arnett will play Kiowa.

And in Class B boys, Glencoe will play Varnum, Hammon will play Earlsboro, Fargo will play Gracemont and Stringtown will play Boynton.
