WACO, Texas (AP) Chase Gerdes' hit with the bases loaded in the bottom of the 10th inning scored Jeff Mandel to give Baylor a 3-2 victory against Oral Roberts on Friday night.

Gerdes' single down the right-field line was his second RBI of the game for Baylor (6-3), which won its sixth straight. Tim Jackson homered for the Bears and Nick Cassavechia (1-0) allowed no hits in the last 1 2-3 innings.

Chad Rothford hit a solo home run for Oral Roberts (2-4), which was held hitless in the final 3-innings. Eric Crichton (0-2) gave up the winning single to Gerdes, his second hit allowed in 1 1-3 innings.
