OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ A federal indictment accuses a Cheyenne and Arapaho Tribes of Oklahoma employee with embezzling more than $15,000 in gaming revenue.
Forty-two-year-old Renee Island is accused of conspiring with unnamed others to transfer money to herself through Western Union.
Island is accused of picking up the money in Las Vegas and Albuquerque, New Mexico, on six occasions in 2003.
The Calumet resident is charged with six counts of conspiracy and embezzlement, each of which carries up to five years in prison and a $250,000 fine.
According to the indictment the money was meant to fund tribal programs.
