A woman charged with faking car trouble to rob an elderly couple, is now in prison on other robbery charges.

In December, the News On 6 introduced you to Greg and Joanne, after a woman had knocked on their door, asking for help. [Click here to read that story.] Instead, she robbed them of their wallets.

Tulsa Police arrested Selenia Smith and she faces a robbery and larceny charge in connection with that incident. Joanne says the worst part of it all is they are no longer as willing to help strangers. "To me, that's pathetic, that you can't help when you want to help because you're afraid to."

Court records show, Selenia Smith was convicted of robbery after knocking on another man's door and pretending to be a police officer. That man let Smith in and she stole his wallet. Smith has also convicted of using another man's stolen credit cards.
