Voters across eastern Oklahoma are heading to the polls today to decide issues important to their schools and communities.

Union Public Schools in Tulsa have put a $17 million bond issue on the ballot. Coweta Schools also have a bond issue of more than $25 million. In the town of Wister, the school district has a $500,000 bond issue.

Big Cabin voters have a half percent sales tax increase and an expanded hotel and motel tax to decide. Voters in Verdigris are voting on a 1-percent sales tax increase and a 4-percent hotel-motel tax.

And Wagoner County is deciding on a very small sales tax increase.
