OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- Authorities identified a body found in northwest Oklahoma City as that of a 23-year-old woman who had been reported missing two months ago.

Oklahoma City police took the case over from the Oklahoma County Sheriff's office after the woman was identified as Jessica Fender.

Fender had been reported missing by her mother on December 9th, and no one had spoken with her since three days before that.

Oklahoma City police say they are investigating the death as suspicious, although the state Medical Examiner has not ruled whether it is a homicide.
