OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- The president of an Oklahoma construction company receives a 5 year deferred sentence and a $10,000 fine after pleading guilty to a count of witness intimidation.
The multicounty grand jury indicted George Paul Glover in December 2005 for allegedly interfering with the panel's investigation into his company, Glover Construction. His plea was entered in Muskogee County.
Glover and employees, Jarod Neil Smith and Gary Wayne Carr, pleaded no contest January 11th to one count each of conspiracy in McIntosh County.
The men were accused of conspiring to use stone and rock that didn't meet Oklahoma Department of Transportation standards for material used to make asphaltic concrete for roads and highways.
Attorney General Drew Edmondson says the deferred sentence concludes his office's investigation into Glover Construction.
