A mobile home fire north of Sapulpa has claimed the life of a Creek County resident.

The fire reported after 10 p.m. Wednesday, occurred in the 6300 block of South 58th West Avenue. After Sapulpa firefighters extinguished the blaze, they located a body inside the mobile home.

The Creek County Sheriffâ€™s Office says the victim is identified as 46 year old Naomi Clark.

The sheriffâ€™s office says an initial observation by an Oklahoma State Fire Marshalâ€™s Office indicates that the fire may have been started on the bed in the victimâ€™s bedroom. A neighbor told deputies, Clark had been involved in a similar incident over a year ago, when she accidentally started her mattress on fire while smoking.

Clarkâ€™s body has been sent to the state Medical Examinerâ€™s Office for an autopsy.
