TULSA, Okla. (AP) _ New Tulsa football coach Todd Graham announces his first recruiting class, which he says he hopes will turn the Golden Hurricane into a top-25 team.

The Golden Hurricane's 26-player recruiting class addressed the program's need for quickness at wide receiver and a provided a retooling of an offensive line that lost the bulk of its top players to graduation.

Since being hired as TU's new coach on January 12th, Graham had less than a month to nail down his commitments, working all day today to keep top prospects from slipping away. It became a tightrope act.

Some athletes, such as sought-after running back Charles Clay of Arkansas weren't officially on board until a half-hour before TU was to announce its 2007 recruits.

Standouts in T-U's class include Allen, Texas running back Charles Opeseyitan, Southwest Arkansas Player of the Year AJ Whitmore and wide receiver Trae Johnson of Grand Prairie, Texas.
