ENID, Okla. (AP) _ A former jailer at the Garfield County Detention Facility has been charged with rape and sodomy for allegedly having sex with an inmate.

Joshua Porter, 27, was charged Friday in Garfield County District Court with one count of rape by instrumentation and one count of sodomy in connection with an alleged incident at the jail on Oct. 1, 2006.

A female inmate told jail officials Porter and an inmate trustee had sex with her and another inmate inside their cell, according to an affidavit. In Oklahoma, consensual sex between a jailer and prisoner is considered rape.

Porter was freed on $25,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court March 21.
