Sexual Assault Suspect Sought By Tulsa Police

Police are asking for your help in finding a rape suspect who they say attacked a woman at her South side apartment complex. It happened Tuesday at the Westminster Apartments. The News on 6â€™s Steve Berg reports on the investigation.

The attack doesn't match any other crimes, so officials think this is an isolated incident. But they're worried the attacker will strike again if heâ€™s not caught.

Police say it was only about 8 p.m. on Tuesday when the woman went to do laundry, but the laundry room was full, so she was headed back to her apartment thatâ€™s when she was attacked.

"A white male walked up to her and stuck a knife, what we believe to be a knife, to the back of her head and told her to get in the back of a car, not to scream and lie down or she would be hurt," said Officer Jason Willingham.

The victim told police she was driven around for about five minutes and didn't know where she was when the man stopped the car and raped her. Police say he then took her back to the complex, dragged her out of the car, and drove off.

Officer Jason Willingham says they got a good description of the suspect, including some distinctive features, like bleach-blonde hair.

"Also he was described as having severe acne all over his face, so these descriptors are obviously something we're going to key in on and hopefully someone has some good information on a potential suspect and gives us a call," Willingham said.

Police say random attacks like this are rare, but when they do happen, they often escalate. That's what they want to stop.

"We just want to get this guy in custody before he has an opportunity to strike again,â€ said Willingham. â€œLike I said, these aren't usually isolated. When a guy does something like this, then normally, he does do it again."

Police say the suspect has bleach-blonde hair and severe acne. He's about 6-feet-tall, 180 pounds. His car is described as a newer, silver, 4-door with tinted windows and a spoiler.
