OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) Less than 250 customers still have no electric service nearly three weeks after a deadly ice storm, authorities said Monday.
Most of the 238 without power -- 198 -- are members of Vinita-based Northeast Electric Cooperative, according to the Oklahoma Association of Electric Cooperatives' Web site. Another 40 are members of Kiamichi Electric Cooperative, according to the Web site.
More than 100,000 customers experienced service disruptions during a three-day storm that pounded the state beginning Jan. 12. At least 32 people died in the storm, most of them in motor vehicle accidents on icy roads.
Another series of storms was forecast to move across Oklahoma this week and bring additional chances for precipitation, but large accumulations aren't expected.
