Pryor Police arrest a man they say sexually abused a 4-year old child. The little girl told police it happened at her daycare center.

News on 6 reporter Omar Villafranca spoke with the arresting officer, who has a warning for Mayes County parents.

Pryor Police arrested 29-year-old Scott Hall earlier this week, and charged him with two counts of child sexual abuse. The four-year old victim told her parents it happened at the house where Hall and his wife run a daycare.

"He did confess to everything the child had said during the interview," said Sergeant Derek Melton.

Hall only had a few traffic tickets in his past, now investigators must question 12 to 14 other children who went to the daycare to see if they were sexually abused.

Kids continued to ride their bikes oblivious to what police say happened at the house across the street. Several residents had no idea what happened.

"We just thought they ran a daycare over there, we didn't know nothing about it," neighbor Esau McCarter said.

Neighbors now say they're worried, not only for their kids, but for other children in the area. Pryor police have this advice for nervous moms and dads.

“A thing that’s the most important for parents is to be aware,” Melton said. “Investigate, look into these daycares, and to gather information from people that have had their children there in the past and to make solid decisions before they leave their children anywhere."

"Yeah, it worries me a lot,” McCarter said. “I'm glad they got him though. He needs to be in jail."

Hall is in the Mayes County jail on a $175,000 bond.
