OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ Injured Hornets point guard Chris Paul yesterday joined the team in a round of conditioning by running a full-court, full-sprint layup drill.
Paul has missed the last 12 games since severely spraining his right ankle on December 26th and is believed to be one to three weeks away from returning to the lineup.
In the layup drill he ran straight ahead with no cutting and coach Byron Scott says Paul looked ``not bad'' but still somewhat ``gimpy.''
Paul also did 20 minutes of jumping and hopping drills under the supervision of a team trainer and says the ankle feels a lot better now that he's no longer wearing a walking boot.
