DENVER (AP) -- Colorado Rockies outfielder Matt Holliday agrees to a $4.4 million, one-year contract with the National League baseball team Tuesday.

The 27-year-old Holliday is a former Oklahoma State standout. Holliday hit .326 with 34 homers and 114 RBIs last year, his third season in the majors, all at Colorado.

He made $500,000 last season.
