Two sisters turned citizen crime fighters were honored in Owasso Monday.

Owasso Police Chief Dan Yancy presented Kelli Jameson and Susie Weaver with certificates of appreciation for their help catching two Christmas thieves last December.

The sisters were looking for a parking space at the Best Buy store in Owasso when they spotted two men making a beeline out the store with Sony Playstations. Thinking the men's behavior was odd; the pair got the vehicle's tag number.

Kelli Jameson: “we were just in the right place at the right time luckily for everybody and then I was like I hope they didn't see my car in case they do get away.”

The suspects didn't get away. A patrol officer quickly spotted the car and the suspects were arrested.
