LOS ANGELES (AP) _ Los Angeles police continue checking all leads in the death of Southern California football player Mario Danelo (duh-NEL'-oh). But a spokesman says ``It's fairly apparent that this was either an accident or suicide.''
The place kicker's body was found yesterday about 120 feet down a rocky cliff.
Police say Danelo was last seen around midnight Friday. He had been out with friends, but police don't know whether he might have been drinking.
Fire Department officials say a handful of people have fallen from the cliff over the years, and it's possible that's what happened to Danelo.
The 21-year-old was a junior at U-S-C. He kicked two field goals in the Trojans' win over Michigan in the Rose Bowl on Monday. Southern Cal coach Pete Carroll says Danelo was a ``wonderful young man of high character.''
