OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) The number of people killed on Oklahoma roadways is down by 61 for 2006.

The state Department of Public Safety says 735 people have died in traffic accidents this year compared to 796 at this time last year.

And the number of traffic deaths this month is down by 23 from December 2005. A total of 47 people have been killed on state roadways this month, down from 70 at this point in December last year.
