OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ A spokesman for Wal-Mart says the company will not raise prices in Oklahoma of any drugs in its four-dollar generic prescription drug program.
State Board of Pharmacy director Bryan Potter has said Wal-Mart is violating a state law which requires items be sold at least 6 percent above cost.
But Wal-Mart spokesman Kevin Gardner says the retailer is in compliance with state law and is not adjusting the price of the $4 generic drugs.
Wal-Mart began the program in September and has expanded it nationwide but says prices for some drugs are higher in nine states because of specific state laws.
Target stores has since matched the program and Potter says he's also asking that company to increase the price of some drugs in its program.
Target has not responded to requests for comment.
