STILLWATER, Okla. (AP) Junior college All-America defensive tackle Tonga Tea has signed an NCAA national letter of intent to play at Oklahoma State.
Tea is 6-feet, 310-pounds and was a first-team All-America at Snow Junior College in Utah. Coach Mike Gundy says Tea plans to enroll at O-S-U in January and take part in spring practice with the Cowboys.
Tea played just one season of football at East Anchorage High School in Alaska and redshirted one year at Snow.
As a sophomore he made 24 tackles and had 3.5 quarterback sacks and forced a fumble a Snow went 11-1 and finished second in the National Junior College Athletic Association poll.
