STILLWATER, Okla. (AP) Oklahoma State football players will be getting a three-day break after today's practice.

The Cowboys will be allowed to go home after this morning's workout and are to arrive in Shreveport, Louisiana, on Saturday to begin final preparations for the Independence Bowl.

Most players are expected to drive to Shreveport while others will return to Stillwater to travel with coaches and staff to the game.

The game against Alabama is next Thursday afternoon with kickoff set for 3:30.
