BROKEN ARROW, Okla. (AP) _ Quarterback Gerald Jones ran for two touchdowns and Oklahoma City Millwood rallied from a 14-point deficit to beat Vian 21-to-20 for the Class 2A championship.
The Falcons (14-1) were down by two touchdowns in the second quarter when Millwood's defense held Vian (14-1) scoreless.
Jones then ran 17 yards into the end zone to narrow Vian's advantage to 14-7. Running back Prentice Washington's 2-yard run tied the game at 14 going into intermission.
Vian rallied in the third quarter when senior defensive back Londell Taylor returned his second interception of the game 65 yards, but the extra point was missed and the lead was 20-to-14.
With 2:23 left in the third, Millwood intercepted Vian and Jones scored from 2 yards out to tie the game at 20-20. The extra point proved to be the gamewinner.
Vian looked like it would threaten with less than two minutes remaining, but Millwood intercepted the ball to seal the victory.
