Santa's sleigh is a little fuller thanks to Spirit Aerosystems in Tulsa.

Thursday morning, employees filled up shopping carts with gifts for Toys for Tots. The big shopping day was made possible through Spirit's annual chili cook-off and fundraiser. The sale of warm chili bowls raised nearly $9,000 for gifts.

Organizers say the cook-off was held during this year's blizzard but the winter weather did little to freeze the cash flow. Angela Summers with Spirit Aerosystems: â€œI think the white snow put everybody in the spirit and chili was a big seller that day because of the cold weather and we did great.â€

Despite the snowstorm, Spirit Aerosystems managed to raise about a thousand dollars more than last year.
