A 23-year-old Tulsa woman is dead following a traffic accident on a Rogers County road.

Oklahoma Highway Patrol troopers say the accident happened about 8:30 PM Tuesday a half mile north of Catoosa.

18-year-old Sue Ellen Urquidi of Broken Arrow was driving at a high rate of speed when she hit an icy patch, lost control and hit an utility pole. Heather Allyson Cook was ejected from the car and pronounced dead at a Tulsa hospital.

Urquidi was treated for head injuries and released.
