Governor Brad Henry left the Sooner state for Hawaii Tuesday; to attend Thursday's groundbreaking for the USS Oklahoma memorial.
429 Navy sailors and Marines were killed when the battleship USS Oklahoma was attacked at Pearl Harbor.
It is the only battleship among nine sunk that day, that does not have a memorial. The memorial design hasn't been approved and so far they only have about $260,000 of the estimated $750,000 needed to build it.
