Temperatures will stay cool in most areas of Oklahoma this week, but no winter storms are on the horizon.

The National Weather Service said temperatures will slowly warm toward average levels ahead of another cold front. Not much moisture will be around for this system and the frontal passage is expected to be dry.

On Sunday, skies were partly cloudy and temperatures ranged from 29 degrees in Ponca City and Tulsa to 42 degrees in Lawton. The high in Oklahoma City reached 35 degrees, forecasters said.

Skies should be sunny Monday and Tuesday, allowing temperatures to reach the 40s and 50s before tumbling into the 20s overnight.

Partly cloudy conditions are expected on Wednesday, with highs reaching the 40s and 50s and lows dipping into the 20s and 30s.

Skies should be clear to partly cloudy Thursday and Friday with in the 40s and 50s and lows in the 20s.
