It will be undefeated Sequoyah Claremore (13-0) against Marlow (11-2) in the Class 3A State Championship game.

Sequoyah Claremore steamrolled Muldrow in round one play, 48-7.

In the quarterfinals the Eagles scored on their first possession of the game against Clinton, but didn't score again until the 4th quarter. Seq. Claremore defense held Clinton to just 88 yards. The Eagles won 15-6.

The win sent the Eagles into the semi's to face Kingfisher. Kingfisher got off to a quick start marching 80 yards on its opening drive. The Yellowjackets finished the push with a 12 yard TD, but didn't score again until 6:04 remained in the game. The Eagles got on the board on the last play of the 1st quarter with a 22 yard touchdown. Seq. Claremore ran in for a 3 yard TD with 3 minutes left in the 1st half. A turnover by Kingfisher turned into another TD with just 6 second left in the 2nd quarter. Early in the 2nd half the Eagles scored again taking a 28-7 lead. Sequoyah Claremore rolled to a 35-14 victory and its first shot at a state title in the schools history.

In round one Marlow narrowly edged out Tuttle, 16-14.

Marlow met Locust Grove in the quarterfinals. Marlow got off to a quick start scoring 12 unanswered points, but the Pirates rallied scoring 10, it was 12-10 at the half. That was the closest Locust Grove got Marlow shutout the Pirates in the 2nd half. Final score, 25-10.

The Outlaws met Hugo in the semi-finals. Marlow got off to a rough start fumbling the ball four times, but the Outlaw defense made up for the offense's fumble fingers forcing 3 turnovers. Hugo had a chance to lead the game late in the 3rd, but the Outlaws picked off a Hugo pass to set up another score.

Marlow advances to the state title game for the first time in 12 years. The Outlaws play Sequoyah Claremore on Monday in Edmond, kick off is at 1:30 pm.
