MODESTO, Calif. (AP) Bomb threats against the Modesto, California, airport kept it closed most of the day, forcing the cancellation of more than a dozen flights before investigators gave the all-clear.
No explosives were found.
SkyWest Airlines, which operates flights for United Airlines at the airport, says it canceled 15 flights to and from Modesto. Passengers and airport workers were evacuated while police and federal agents used bomb-sniffing dogs to search the facility.
Police say the city received nine e-mailed threats.
The FBI, Transportation Security Administration and US Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives are investigating.
