Several people are arrested after Tulsa Police find large bags of marijuana and a loaded handgun in their car. It happened at 2 AM Monday near Harvard and Skelly.
Police are still trying to sort through the details of this case, but we know at least three people have been jailed. Around 2 AM, an officer tried to stop a black SUV around 51st and Harvard but a grey car behind it wouldn't let the officer in. She finally managed to pull over both cars at a nearby Shell station.
Tulsa Police say the occupants of both vehicles were drunk. One man tried to run away, but was tracked down at gunpoint. Officers eventually found a pound of marijuana and a loaded handgun.
Tulsa Police officer Greg Anderson: "the concern was also that we knew that the parties were together and we had one car over here, we had another car over here, we had at least four or five suspects."
Two people were arrested for public intoxication. One person was arrested for possession with intent to sell. A fourth person was eventually released.
