News on 6 viewers are coming to the aid of a burglary victim who lost some of her holiday spirit. Rebecca Smiser's home was broken into last weekend. Thieves took several thousand dollars worth of electronics and more than a thousand dollars in cash she'd saved to buy Christmas presents.
Since the News on 6 story on her aired this week, our viewers have stepped in to help.
Tulsa resident Sam Flowers: “we're supposed to be giving this type of season, not taking you know."
News on 6 viewer Alan Barber: "It is a sad deal that something like that would happen to a family."
Smiser was surprised and amazed by the generosity. She says she just wanted to warn others about the dangers of holiday burglars. She says though, the generosity is greatly appreciated.
