OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- As shoppers flock to the stores this holiday season, officials are warning consumers to be wary as the biggest shopping day of the year after Thanksgiving is an ideal environment for thieves.
Attorney General Drew Edmondson urges shoppers to be aware of their surroundings and use common sense.
He says shoppers should keep all receipts and compare them to bank statements and never leave shopping bags in plain sight in an unattended vehicle.
Edmondson also cautions consumers never to keep PIN numbers in their purses or wallets and to leave extra credit cards and other important documents at home in a safe place.
