HONOLULU (AP) Courtney Paris scored 24 points and grabbed 16 rebounds for her 30th straight double-double to lead #3 Oklahoma to a 92-79 win against Eastern Kentucky on Friday.
The sophomore, a preseason All-American, helped Oklahoma pull away from the Colonels in the 2nd half in the semifinals of the Waikiki Beach Marriott Classic.
Ashley Paris, Courtney's sister, had 14 points and 8 rebounds as Britney Brown and Amanda Thompson both scored 10 for Oklahoma (2-0).
Eastern Kentucky (1-1) took an early 9-point lead in first 5 minutes, but the Sooners used a 14-1 run to erase the deficit. Crystal Jones kept Eastern Kentucky in the game with 12 1st half points.
With the score tied at 33, the Sooners used a 16-4 run to end the 1st half. Oklahoma used its dominating inside game to put the game out of reach in the 2nd half.
Jones had a team-high 25 points to lead the Colonels, and Niki Avery added 21.
Oklahoma will face the Georgetown-Hawaii winner Saturday.
