TULSA, Okla. (AP) Ben Uzoh scored 23 points and grabbed nine rebounds and Darrold Crow poured in 22 to lead Tulsa to an 88-64 victory over Saint Gregory's of the NAIA.
Crow scored 12 consecutive points for T-U in four minutes and ten seconds in the second half, pushing TU's advantage to 71-54 last night. Uzoh took over from there, scoring the next ten points for the Golden Hurricane (1-0).
Calvin Walls had 13 points and seven rebounds.
Saint Gregory's (0-1) was led by Patrick Jones' 22 points. Trey Gibbs had 17 and Terrell Theophile had 10 for the Cavaliers, who used effective pick-and-rolls to create open jumpers and shot 48.1 percent for the game.
Tulsa shot 50 percent and outrebounded the smaller Cavaliers 38-28.
