STILLWATER, Okla. (AP) Mario Boggan and Terrel Harris each scored 17 points to lead Oklahoma State to a 95-50 win against Florida Atlantic tonight.
It was the first official game as the Cowboys' head coach for Sean Sutton, who had been an assistant when his father, Eddie Sutton, coached. The elder Sutton watched the game from a front-row seat.
OSU started to pull away early with a 15-2 run that included 3 baskets by Boggan and 2 3-pointers of freshman Obi Muonelo's career. The Cowboys hit eight of their first 9 shots and led 21-9 after Muonelo's second 3-pointer.
He added 2 more 3-pointers in the 1st half and the lead reached 48-25 on James-On Curry's 3-pointer near the end of the 1st half.
The Cowboys were up 20 at halftime after shooting 70 percent in the 1st half.
Paul Graham scored 14 points and Carlos Monroe added 11 for Florida Atlantic in the head coaching debut for former NBA player Rex Walters, who took over after Matt Doherty went to Southern Methodist.
