ALDERSON, Okla. (AP) -- A 16-year-old Hartshorne boy is dead and a 17-year-old critically injured following a one-car accident in Alderson.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says Tiler Savage was killed in the crash on US Highway 270 just after 9:45 Wednesday night.

Troopers say Savage was driving eastbound when he apparently was distracted by other vehicles and lost control of his pickup truck. The truck ran off the roadway and rolled two-and-a-half times.

Savage was dead at the scene while Dylan Voegele is hospitalized in Tulsa in critical condition and a 15-year-old who was also in the truck is hospitalized in stable condition in McAlester.

Troopers say none of the boys were wearing a seat belt and all three were thrown from the truck.
